
Mazatlan is a warm, inviting resort city for tourists to come and relax in the warm tropical air and take in the pleasant surroundings. The city is located on the Pacific Ocean side of the Mexico mainland. This is the northern most resort for the Mexican Riviera. It is just across the Sea of Cortez from Cabo San Lucas and has similar weather.
The city offers a wide variety of accommodations including all inclusive resorts, large and luxurious villas with servants to the moderate economy oriented hotels. There are a few condos and beachfront homes for rent. Mazatlan is a tourist friendly town that caters to tourists from all over North America. There are many fine restaurants, nightclubs and local entertainment for any traveler.
Mexico's largest brewery is also located in this city. Pacifico is made in the city and offers plenty of tasting opportunities. There are many golf courses, family attractions of all kinds along with plenty of beach front resorts and hotels to accommodate every traveler. Mazatlan also offers plenty of deep see fishing opportunities. There is a good aquarium that displays local marine life and great opportunities to go whale and dolphin watching.
Mazatlan is a medium sized city in the state of Sinaloa Mexico. The population is about 400,000 living in the surrounding area based on the 2005 census. There are many popular resorts that line the beaches. Most of the nightlife is located at Fiesta Land. This is a large Moor influenced building that hosts several discos, piano bars and shows. It can be seen from most beaches in Mazatlan.
The city is a frequent stop for many of the large cruise ship operators. Most of the newer resorts and hotels are located a short 15 minute taxi ride to the north while the older ( cheaper ) hotels are located 5 minutes to the south. Mazatlan is Mexico's largest port. The city is mainly an industrial city moving goods in and out of Mexico. The resorts are more of a secondary consideration after the planners realized the tourism value.
